Making Memories with Heidi Schneider

I can say that this last year being the first time staying at Pioneer Beach Resort, we arrived as strangers; however, left with a feeling we had an extended family at heart. I can say that some of the actual “Pioneers” (old timers) who traveled to Pioneer Beach Resort from all over the U.S. & Canada for a number of years made us feel quite welcome and were very knowledgeable regarding restaurants, sightseeing, etc.

Of course we can’t forget Bingo night with the young man who was the Bingo announcer. He made Bingo so much fun that it became one of our favorite activities for game night. Nancy, the DJ, was awesome and her husband Bob knew all about fishing. So for those fishermen out there, if you see Bob, ask him where the best fishing spot is.

Then there is Pepper, who made us feel so welcome at the New Years party along with the rest of the group at our table that they kept us laughing the whole time we were there. One of my most memorable experiences there was to see that there were actually individuals who went in the pool on New Years Day for the Polar Bear Plunge. Now that took courage to do that on such a cold day!

I call Pioneer Beach Resort the Disneyland of camping…never a dull moment. We are looking forward to spending more time at Pioneer Beach Resort in the near future to acquire more wonderful memories and newly made friendships.
